This new command sure is nice. It wasn't too long ago that I was a Star Colonel myself. Now with Inferno back at my side, it was like good old days. Star Colonel Inferno and I went patrolling today. It was a clear day. Temperature just right. A typical summer day. I would ocassionly glance over at Inferno's Summoner B as I looked around on this marvelous day. Piloting a Summoner B myself, I jumped left and right, practicing my techniques. Everything on the patrol route was perfect; except for the two Timberwolf D's that appeared on our radar screen. This was cause for alarm, as they are a formidable configuration. It was two mercenaries in salvaged Clan mechs. Did they see us? Yes, they did. Just over the other side of the hill, they waited. Inferno and I leaped into action. Our movements were like music in motion. Each action fell to play perfectly as if orchestrated by a higher being. We both knew the enemies would have to come around the hill, if they wanted to engage, as they had no Jump Jets. The Timberwolves tried to arch their missles over to us, but were unsuccessful. Slowly, they became more accurate. Star Colonel Inferno took off around the edge of the hill. He reached the two enemies and they laid down a punishing barrage of missles upon him. At this moment, I targeted one of the Timberwolves and leaped over the hill. I linked all of my missles and fired. Head shot. The mech fell over instantly. A small victory. Inferno, meanwhile, was continuing to fire on the other mech. The mech turned and saw his wing eating the dirt next to him. He fired at me with all he had. At this point, I engaged him. I maneuvered to the left and Inferno followed in a circular pattern. Star Colonel Inferno and I fired continuously at the mech. I was out of ammunition. It was now up to the Star Colonel to finish off the foe. I disengaged. The surat saw me disengaging and fired at my back. This was the last straw. Inferno fired at the Timberwolf's tender back armor as he chased me, and finished him off. Once more, I owed my life to Inferno. I would have died without him. He is an honorable warrior and will continue to serve the clan with valor.
