Trial of Entrance Script

There may be a case when there are both a Khan and an overseer in the trial. In such case, the title marked with asterisks will read that line. In the case that there is only an overseer or a khan, then the one officer will state all the lines themselves.

After all pilots are in position:
(Overseer,* Khan*) "Clan Wolverine warriors, we have come to the trial grounds to honor those who have come before us by holding true to the tradition of Honorable Trial by Combat. Who among us makes a claim this night?"

(Cadet) "I am Wolverine Cadet (Insert Call sign here) and I am here to claim my right as a Clan Wolverine Warrior. I bid this Hellbringer against all who would oppose me."

(Mechwarrior) "I am (rank) (call sign) and I bid this cougar in defiance of your claim!"

(Star Commander) "I am (rank) (call sign) and I bid this Hellbringer in defiance of your claim!"

(Star Captain) "I am (rank) (call sign) and I bid this Dire Wolf in defiance of your claim!"

(Overseer) "I am (rank) (call sign) and I will over see this trial and ensure the laws of our clan will be followed."

(Overseer *Khan*) "Cadet, are you prepared to face the consequences of your claim?"

(Cadet) - "Aff, Ovkhan!"

(*Overseer* Khan) "May the wisdom of Kerensky be made evident in battle, Mechwarrior (call sign), you may engage!"

Combat Begins
The following section of script will read much like a "choose your own adventure" book, as there will be different script choices based on different results at the conclusion of the trial. Choose the lines of the script based on the results of the trial.

Cougar Defeated by Cadet
(*Overseer* Khan) "Well fought. Mechwarrior (call sign) has fallen, (Hellbringers rank and call sign), engage!"

Hellbringer Defeated by Cadet

(*Overseer* Khan) "Impressive. (Hellbringers rank and call sign) has fallen, (Dire Wolf rank and call sign), engage!"

Dire Wolf Defeated by Cadet
(*Overseer* Khan) "Truly, you are a Clan Wolverine Warrior!"

OPTIONAL (Cadet) "(Rank and Name of Challenged Khan or Overseer) I wish to continue this trial, and lay claim to the rank of Star Colonel!"

OPTIONAL (Challenged Officer) "Your tenacity is admirable, but you will not survive this. Prepare to meet your end, for I have engaged!"

Combat Concluded
Depending on the result of the trial, the cadet now may have a choice to make. If the cadet is defeated by the cougar, the cadet remains silent, as there are no long range com systems in an ejection pod. If the cadet defeats the Cougar, he/she has won right to the rank of Mechwarrior. Defeat the Hellbringer, rank of Star Commander; Dire Wolf Star Captain. If the Dire wolf is defeated, the cadet may choose to challenge either the Khan or the Overseer to combat for the position of Star Colonel by following the script marked OPTIONAL. Any rank above Mechwarrior will require participation in the Officers Training program, and completion of the program may be required before the assignment is made.

Cadet Defeated by Cougar
(*Overseer* Khan) "Cadet (call sign), you have been tried and have been found wanting. You will continue your training and be made ready for the next Trial."

(Overseer *Khan*) "The Wolverine has spoken; this Trial of Entry is concluded."

Cadet Defeated by Hellbringer or Above
(Cadet) "I stand to claim my right as a Mechwarrior (or other rank if earned as described above) of Clan Wolverine!"

(*Overseer* Khan) "Mechwarrior (or other rank if earned as described above) (call sign), you have been tried and have been found worthy. Welcome Home, Warrior."

(Overseer *Khan*) "The Wolverine has spoken; this Trial of Entry is concluded."

(All) "SEYLA!"

The Trial is now over, and traditional "After Trial Free for All" will ensue, along with much cajoling and congratulating of the new warrior.
